Ai Ogura Joins Trackhouse Racing MotoGP™ for 2025 and 2026

Trackhouse Racing MotoGP™ has confirmed its lineup for the 2025 and 2026 seasons: Ai Ogura will ride a factory Aprilia RS-GP. The American team has signed a two-year contract with the young Japanese Moto2™ star, currently second in the championship standings.


Ai Ogura: A Rising Star from Japan


At just 23 years old, Ai Ogura, hailing from Kiyose, Japan, has shown consistent growth in motorcycle racing. From his beginnings in minibikes to becoming a standout contender in the Moto2™ World Championship, Ogura has delivered exceptional performances. In 2024, he competed with the MT Helmets MSI team, claiming the Moto2™ World Championship title.


Ogura began his career in the Asia Talent Cup in 2015, standing out early by securing a victory in his debut season. In 2016, he finished as runner-up in the series and moved to Europe, competing in the FIM CEV Moto3™ and later in the Moto3™ World Championship. His best season in this category was in 2020, when he finished third overall. Since 2021, Ogura has competed in Moto2™, showing steady progress and establishing himself as one of the brightest prospects in motorcycle racing.


An Ambitious Team for MotoGP™’s Elite


Trackhouse Racing aims to solidify its position as a competitive team in MotoGP™, fielding Ogura on a bike identical to those of the official Aprilia Racing team. According to Davide Brivio, the team director, “Ogura is a rider with a unique riding style and great resilience during races.
